Vintage TLC Allan Doll Midge Boyfriend Ken Friend Barbie Mattel 1960 Japan

In this listing we have a cute, but somewhat TLC vintage Straight leg Allan doll. Released by Mattel in the early to mid 1960’s, this doll was Ken’s Friend (and could share clothes) and Midge’s boyfriend (sharing clothes not recommended). This doll has dark red molded hair, brown side glancing eyes, and light pink lips. He is articulated at the neck, shoulders, and hips. He was made in Japan and stands around 12 inches tall.
This Allan doll is in TLC shape, he’s not the worst, but does have some issues. I did clean him, but he could use a more in depth cleaning. He does have some paint wear to his hair, including a very large section of missing paint to the front of his hair. He also has rubs to the sides, the back, and the top of his hair. Some of them are small, some of them are not as small. On the left side of the doll’s hair he has a black spot in the hair that I could not get to come off. I assume it’s something stuck to the paint. The doll’s face and arms have darkened and yellowed slightly. They’re not as dark as they are in the pictures, but they are a bit darker compared to his torso and legs. The doll’s face and arms are also a little sticky. I did wash it, but couldn’t get it to come off totally. He might need a harder scrubbing to get it all off, but it will most likely come back over time. The doll’s face paint looks good. I don’t see any issues with his eyebrows. His eyes do have some small chips of paint in several spots in both eyes. They are easier to see up close, so they’re not too bad. His lips look good. They do look a little thin in a couple of places, so he has a couple tiny rubs to them. The doll’s torso is okay. He does have some faint scratches all over his torso. He also has some noticeable scrapes. He has them on his pecs, on his abs, and on his back around the shoulder blades. There’s some stuck in dirt to the scrapes on his back. There’s other small sections of scraping, but those are the most obvious. The doll’s arms are okay. He has a lot of small pin pricks to both hands. They’re not very obvious, but you can see them. He has some small scratches and scuffs to the rest of his arms. There’s a small gouge to the back of his left arm at the shoulder, but it’s very small. His arms are very tight and hold a pose very nicely. The doll’s legs are good. They have a lot of ground in dirt in them. He has some red staining to the front of his right thigh. On the back of his left thigh he has a small line of raised plastic. It’s just a cosmetic issue. He has some scuffs with some stuck in dirt to the back of his calves. There’s some scratches, scuffs, and a couple indented lines on his legs. His feet also have a few tiny pin pricks. I know it sounds like a lot of issues, but they are pretty small. Please examine all pictures to see the exact condition of this doll and please keep in mind some issues are more visible in person compared to pictures.
