    Vintage 1964 ALLAN DOLL #1000 Straight Legs Redhead
    Barbie, Ken, and Midge's Friend ~ Japan 12"
    I will be listing a collection of vintage 1960's Barbie, Ken, etc. dolls and clothes. I'm not an expert, and am using online sources to identify and date the items. Please let me know if any of my information is incorrect or incomplete, or if you require more photos.
    This is a
    handsome
    , "First Issue" vintage 1964 Allan Doll with molded red hair and brown eyes. He has not been altered or restored in any way. He has the same body as Ken and can wear all Ken's clothes.
    His body markings are: © 1960 BY MATTEL INC / HAWTHORNE/ CALIF, USA.  His right foot has "JAPAN" written along the instep.
    He  has been played with
    but is in good vintage condition.
    There is no greasiness, splitting or cracks that I'm aware of; his right arm is a bit loose and has some color transfer; both his
    arms and legs could use cleaning. His face paint is excellent; a bit of the color on his molded hair has rubbed off.
    All in all he is an extremely nice, displayable doll looking for a new home. This listing is for the doll only. I have photographed him wearing one of Ken's official Mattel outfits--the gray flannel suit and white shirt from "Saturday Night Date," which will be available separately for purchase.
    We have 2 Allan dolls for sale. The only significant difference is where "Japan" was written on the foot.
