This is one piece of a large collection of Barbie dolls, Ken dolls, clothing and accessories we will be offering from a private collection.  Please see our other items for additional hard-to-find Barbie Collectibles.
Today we are happy to offer for sale a great looking first edition (Barbie) Ken Doll in his red swim trunks.  One of the earliest Kens, this Barbie boyfriend came out in 1961 and is #750.
Ken is marked on his bottom "Ken tm Pats Pend c MCMLI By Mattel Inc."  Included with the doll are several outfits and a Lilac vinyl carrying case, marked "Ponytail, c. 1962," featuring a sauve Ken in a yellow slicker and blue cap.  In the background Ken is wearing a blue jacket, black slacks and leaning against a white convertible sportscar with Barbie in a blue dress.  Outfits consist of:
Dreamboat #785, 1961-63: Drab gray print shirt (tagged), dark green pants with zipper fly, a gold, lined, single breasted jacket, one loop for closing at the button front is missing (tagged), single yellow cotton sock
Blue blazer, 1962: partial red lining, emblem on chest pocket, missing one silver button, tear at armhole
Sport Shorts #783, 1961-63: green print button front shirt (tagged), yellow Bermuda short w/zipper fly, and a pair of khaki green tall cotton socks, all in excellent condition
Sleeper Set #781, 1964: blue striped cotton pj top only (tagged) and the hard to find gold alarm clock, both excellent condition
Pair of tailored gray slacks with zipper and snap fly (tagged)
Striped knit shorts from the Skin Diver Outfit, 1963; hard to find light blue plastic sunglasses, a pair of black plastic dumb bells, a blue corded belt w/silver buckle, and a single cork bottom flip flop sandal
Four plastic hangers
Barbie, Ken & Midge booklet, c. 1962, printed in Japan, slight tears on right side of pages.
