    NOW FOR YOUR PLEASURE
Linen Postcard with White Border, circa late 40's early 50's. Genuine Curteich Colortone card customized by Deseret Book Company, Salt Lake City, with thread stitching attaching a small bag of genuine Copper Ore from the Bingham Canyon Mine and labelled "from Bingham, Utah".
Bingham is now a ghost town. Only the cemetary remains. By 1920 15,000 people lived there. Another town called Highland Boy had also came into existence there. There were 30 saloons in the canyon. By 1972 the town had died, not because of the mine closed, but because the ever expanding mine had engulfed the town of Bingham and the town was forever lost. Mining operations are still in full operation to this day, and the mine is so large that the open pit operation can be easily seen from space.
