    Description

Up for sale is a exceptional Royal Doulton Dewar's English pub match holder and striker made in the Victorian Era, C1910 and advertising Dewar's Whiskey. This great pub collectible has a well planned structure of a rough bed for striking the matches, a recessed rim for ashes, and a straight up cup to hold the matches. The colors are complementary to its use: taupe bed for the striking surface; dark green/blue for the ashtray; and coffee brown for the cup. The name "Dewar's" appears in raised brown and white mottled lettering four times: twice on the bed and twice on the cup. Royal Doulton England and the company logo of the lion and the crown is impressed into the bottom of the base.
This is a handsome and rare piece of English Victorian pub history and a great addition to any collection.
    Size: 5 5/8" (diameter at bottom) x 3" (height)
