This 1st edition 1961 Ken doll is in good clean condition. Made of vinyl rubber and plastic. Head and body are detail molded to show the appearance of facial features, abdominal muscles, belly button, fingers, fingernails, toes and toenails. Eyebrows, eyes and lip color are painted. Head and arms move/rotate 360 degrees for different poses. He is able to bend at hips to 180 degrees to front (seated) or a slight straight leg kick back. His elbows, wrist, knees and ankles do not bend and are not moveable. He is 11 1/2 -12 inches tall. Hair is original design felt flocked brown hair, eyes are blue. He is wearing his original red swim trunks.
Butt cheek is imprinted with  KEN tm Pate Pend (c) MCMLX Mattel Inc. . Other butt cheek has imprinted the number "6". Bottom of right foot imprinted with JAPAN
Ken is in good condition for his age and is used. There are no pen marks, no stains, no major scratches/ chips, indents. His arms will detach from his body if pulled and not gently moved, but easily reattached. He has some small indent marks on his right shoulder. There is some wear of his painted eyebrow and in his head of hair. His shorts are clean, stitching and seams intact.
