ANTIQUE  STERLING MATCH SAFE VESTA REPRESENTING H UPMANN CUBAN CIGAR BOX
This match safe comes from an estate sale that included a huge collection of rare antique match safes and holders.   Although the exact age is unknown, it is estimated to be late 19th or early 20th Century.  Sterling with markings to make it resemble a wood grain, the match safe is made to represent a H Upmann Cuban Cigar Box.  Measures 1-7/8" x 1-3/16".  No hallmarks or makers mark other than the enamel seal on the top and side.  The enamel on the top of the seal is chipped.  The box is made nice and solid.  But there are some nicks on the edges.  See photos.  Good working hinge and nice tight closure.  Interesting collectible
