Antique Advertising Metal Frog Match Holder Striker Pointer Stoves & Ranges

For this listing we are pleased to offer a very hard to find antique frog match holder probably offered as an advertising premium with a purchase of a Pointer Stove or Range. The Pointer stoves were quite expensive in the day and usually were blue enamel. This little frog is metal and highly detailed with a top that lifts up for storing matches. Inside the top is a ridged match striker that appears to have never been used. In very clear letters on his back it says, “Pointer Stoves and Ranges,” and on the underside it says, “Gohman Kahler Co. New Albany, Ind.” We think it dates to somewhere between 1910 and 1920. Please enjoy the photos; there is no damage and no flaws. It will look and display well.
Measurements are: 4” end to end x almost 2” to the top of his head.
