    Description

We are offering four Silver Match Safes.  Circa 1890s/1910.  The match safes appear to be silver, but they are unmarked.
1.) Match safe with a compass in the center, which we believe to be from the late Victorian era.
CONDITION: Very Good, has great patina from use.  Compass needle moves, but doesn't seem to function accurately.
2.) Pocket match safe with etched beetle.  The body of the beetle is a purplish/red stone (possibly cut glass).  Has striker on the bottom.  It may be silverplate, not sure.
    CONDITION: Good, shows wear.
3.) Horseshoe shaped match safe with striker on the side.  It may be silverplate, not sure.
    CONDITION: Very Good.
4.) Match safe in the shape of a flask.  Silver (silverplate?) on the bottom; top covered in leather.  Has striker on the bottom.
    CONDITION: Very Good.
